when I finally find just the right time to stop and draw, the boys decided they want to draw with me and next to me. how can i say no to sudden bursts of creativity?
short of one easel, so off MY easel goes to my 2 y.o. the family room transforms into an art studio, a flurry of crayons and play-doh. i let them draw where their wildest imaginations can take them. we are happy and content. i am energized by their spontaneity. i spend most of the time cutting, changing, and taping drawing paper for the boys.
i look at my own drawing now sitting on the floor, with a light sketch and my 2 y.o.'s sneaky crayon scribbles on the corner, and I think...i NEED to get to my own drawing before the day ends. it's mommy's turn.
